🐛 If you’ve encountered a bug, please submit a ticket to the Hudu support team to ensure a quick response.
A non-admin tech should have the ability to 1. know if a given customer's portal is enabled, 2. know which user's are active on the customer portal, and 3. add/remove users from the customer portal.
Currently, you're only able to add KB Article folders to the external portal, but there is no way to add individual articles. It would be great to be able to add these individual articles without needing to reorganize them into folders.
These roles can add individual records, but not bulk-add. Please allow them to do so.
Allow KB articles and assets to be export/printed to PDF from the external customer portal. There's no options to export/print from the external company portal.
Please allow portal members to utilize the browser extension to access the shared data stored in the external portal.
Integration information tied to a specific company currently must be manually added to that company's external portal. Hudu should automatically surface relevant integration data in the associated portal without requiring manual entry.
Please allow flags that are assigned in the CORE of Hudu to appear inside the External Portal.
We would like the option for hyperlinks contained within asset fields to open in a new browser tab when accessed from the External Portal. Currently, links inside asset fields open in the same tab, which can cause external users to lose their place in the portal or have to navigate back manually.
Currently, shared assets that have been moved to the Museum are still visible in the client portal without any indication of their archived status. It would be helpful if: Assets in the Museum were either automatically hidden from the client portal, or Clearly flagged as “Museum/Archived” so clients can distinguish them from active assets. This would prevent confusion and ensure that clients only see up-to-date, active information.
The only option I can find for password sharing is a limit of 30 days and it's limited to only 1 password share at a time. Meaning, if I need to share all passwords that we have on file with a client, then I'll need to manually share each password individually. I would like the ability to place all client passwords in a folder, and then share that folder with an external client
We would like to request greater customizability and expanded functionality for the External Portal. Key enhancements we are looking for include: Search bars for every section of the External Portal (KBs, Assets, Passwords, etc.). Improved and more intuitive menus and navigation structure. Greater UI customization options, including layout control, branding, and styling. The ability to share all internal information (including Racks, Networks, and IP Addresses) to the External Portal—ideally with flexible access control. One-way sharing of internal content to external users, with full visibility control. These improvements would significantly improve the usability of the External Portal for our clients and allow us to provide a more tailored and branded experience.
We need the ability to restrict access to specific assets, passwords, and other sensitive information for certain external portal members. Currently, all external users with portal access can see shared assets, etc, but there is no way to limit access based on group permissions. Proposed Solution: Introduce external portal group permissions that allow administrators to control which portal members can view or edit specific assets and passwords, etc. This would be similar to the Group Permissions currently used inside the internal part of Hudu.
It would be beneficial to have the option to enable Hudini in the External Portal for clients. Currently, its functionality is limited to the internal view, but expanding access to external users could enhance their experience. This feature could be offered as a paid add-on. It would bring significant value to MSPs and clients who rely heavily on the External Portal.
Currently, we can only add passwords to the external portal via API. To improve functionality, we would like to request the ability to add KB articles, assets, websites, and other resources to the external portal using the same approach as passwords. This feature would streamline the process of managing external access and ensure that all types of resources can be made available on the external portal via the API.
In Hudu, the internal asset layout and the external client portal are designed differently, which can result in discrepancies in how asset information is displayed. Internally, asset layouts can be customized to show multiple columns of data, providing a comprehensive view of each asset. However, the external portal, by default, displays assets in a more simplified manner, often showing only the name field. To enhance the information visible to clients through the external portal, if you can could customize the portal and configure the specific data shared. This customization should be done within each client space, allowing you to tailor the external portal to display additional asset details as needed. By adjusting these settings, you can provide your clients with a more detailed view of their assets, aligning the external portal's display more closely with your internal asset layout.
Currently it seems only custom assets can be linked to the external portal. I would like to display things like Websites, Expirations, etc to the customer for ease of tracking on their end
Need advanced access for end customers that own multiple 'companies' and co-managed IT clients. Something like the Spectator license. (Why is spectator license the same cost as a full blown editor or admin?) The external portal doesn't cut it with it's many limitations and I am going to list those here it's already been done in this roadmap. In my attempts to use Spectator for a partner or end customer, it has major issues. Overwall this license treats the user as one of our internal users. Users are added to a default group automatically, you have to go back and remove it after created a group for just their companies and needed restrictions. the user is able to see in their dashboard the global stats, quality dash, and integrations! since these end customers are coming from multiple locations, we either need unique IP restrictions for them or ability to remove our global IP restrictions from the portal for this level access or lower. Global KBs that you have published for viewing to all customers, don't work if you restrict Global KB access. I am sure there are other issues I could spend more time to uncover. The ability to see photos, racks, networks, all of our same views in custom assets and all their relationships and asset content change log is what we want these advanced end customers to also see.
If we share an asset into a customer's external portal, we need the option to display the photos that we have attached. Photos are integral to documentation of hardware and provide evidence and context.
My customers have many passwords and the lack of search makes it quite hard for them to find their passwords.
I would like to be able to set expiration on the portal invite link. For example, if a user doesn't accept the invite in a set period of time, the link will tell them that the invitation link has been expired and they will have to put in a support ticket to [support email address] to obtain another invitation which could be sent out with the resend button under that user's user account.
