Enhanced External Portal Customization and Functionality

We would like to request greater customizability and expanded functionality for the External Portal.

Key enhancements we are looking for include:

  1. Search bars for every section of the External Portal (KBs, Assets, Passwords, etc.).

  2. Improved and more intuitive menus and navigation structure.

  3. Greater UI customization options, including layout control, branding, and styling.

  4. The ability to share all internal information (including Racks, Networks, and IP Addresses) to the External Portal—ideally with flexible access control.

  5. One-way sharing of internal content to external users, with full visibility control.

These improvements would significantly improve the usability of the External Portal for our clients and allow us to provide a more tailored and branded experience.

    I'd like to see the ability to globally hide all archived items from the external portal, and the ability to automatically add items to the External portal when they are added to an asset type that has already been added. Conversely, it should be easy to remove all items within an asset type at once without having to remove each asset individually.

    These are basic functions that are necessary to make the portal usable without an enormous amount of manual labor. Frankly, I'm shocked that the external portal is so primitive.

    1. Bulk remove records from the External Portal.

    2. When a record is archived it needs to have an archived status in the External Portal.

    3. A setting that decides whether or not External Portal member's can see archived items in a portal or not(across all data in the external portal).

    We are working on details with customers for application approval workflows for application whitelisting where we create an asset layout showing applications that are approved for installation that our team and the GRC teams at our customers use for validation, review, compliance audit, etc. I think the Hudu portal would be ideal for this but the disparity in search and layout between the portal and the licensed user view limits enough where we can't use it for this use case. I would love to see uniformity for the table view, at a minimum, between the portal and the licensed user view.

    This would be extremely helpful. I currently do not utilize the External Portal simply because it does not have a search. These changes would for sure increase the successful adoption of the portal in my opinion.
