Some clients need more than one level of division. We'd like to optionally add custom sub-levels within a company, similar to ConnectWise's corporate and site structure.
Use cases
Clients with multiple locations, each with multiple buildings and separate networks.
Multi-tenant office buildings where the building provides network support to its tenants.
Other structures MSPs may need, such as floors, campuses, or departments.
Proposed behavior
Companies start with one default level. Nothing changes unless we add sub-levels.
We can add and name levels, for example Company → Location → Building → Tenant.
Credentials, assets, KB articles, and procedures can be assigned to any level.
Viewing a level shows its items plus everything above it. Unrelated branches are hidden. For example, Building 1 shows company, Location A, and Building 1 items only.
Search respects the selected level, with an option to search the whole company.
Compatibility
Existing data stays at the company level, and the feature is opt-in. It should apply across integrations and extensions such as the browser extension and ScreenConnect.
Why it matters
Techs can quickly find what applies to the exact site they're working on, without cluttering one company or duplicating data across several.
