Wildcard search
All of our endpoints have an asset tag assigned to them, and that becomes their machine name. All tags are in the format of:
ABC-DE01234
Currently, we need to search DE01234 for the search to return results. We'd like to be able to just search the numbers as the letters DE can change.
I've tried adding * before the numbers but it made no difference. If there's already a wildcard operator out there please let me know :)

Yes, take passwords for example as well. We have people storing passwords as "Microsoft 365", "Microsoft365", "M365", "O365", "Office365" and "Office 365". the one thing they all have in common is "365", however, when searching 365, we will only receive the Microsoft 365 and Office 365 because the string is separated from other alphanumeric characters. This is a huge inconvenience and making finding information and, the bottom line, helping our customers, a lot more cumbersome. Please make this a priority.

Same issue with us. Some are M365, some are O365, and searching for just 365 doesn't return them.

Another vote for this feature. Search is almost unusable when we have over 1500 KBs in the system.

You should find it by selecting "exact" but yes, frustrating and they were allegedly rolling out a new search engine over 6mo ago.
To be honest, I would prefer exact search by default and fuzzy search only on selection because it doesn't rank or otherwise add weight to the obvious results. It also fails to match at certain character length thresholds because of the design.
Once you deploy naming standards, search by title shouldn't need much assistance from fuzzy logic.

I would like to second this, the search is very flawed… Partial searches do not work as expected. Searching is an essential feature these days I expect a search field to return any partial match. Searches should not act like a filter.

I agree that this is a flaw, we call it the partial search flaw. The same exact issue came up for an account, most techs put "Office 365" and we search 365, but for one client someone put Office365 or O365 instead, so nothing came up when searching passwords for 365. IT Glue worked this way, Hudu should fix it.

I would be comfortable with all other feature development being put on hold in favor of better search! This is a fundamental aspect of the product that is deeply flawed. Stop everything else and improve this before ancillary features are developed/improved!
