Tie Global KB articles/folders to Asset Types

I'm thinking it would be great if we could tie KB articles or folders to asset types.
i.e.:
If I have an asset type for vSphere products and KB articles in global assets that pertain to that asset type. When a user is in that asset of that type for any customer they would see any documents tied to that asset type in related items. Doing it at a folder level all documents within that folder would show up.
