Given the rapidly changing cybersecurity landscape, it would be extremely useful if Hudu could display live or regularly updated security-related information feeds directly on the dashboard — keeping technicians and administrators up to date on current threats, advisories, and best practices.
Traditional RSS feeds are largely outdated, but there are now many modern feed and API-based sources (such as Microsoft Threat Intelligence, CISA advisories, NIST/NVD feeds, or industry-specific security news) that could be integrated in a more dynamic and visual way.
Desired functionality
• A configurable dashboard widget where admins can:• Add one or more trusted security information sources (RSS, Atom, JSON feed, or API endpoint).• Choose from prebuilt integrations such as:• Microsoft Security Blog / Defender Threat Intelligence• CISA Vulnerability Advisories• NIST/NVD Vulnerability Database• CVE or vendor security bulletins (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto)• Define refresh frequency (e.g., hourly, daily).• Display the most recent or most critical security updates in a compact, readable format, optionally with severity indicators or links to external advisories.• Allow filtering by vendor, severity, or keyword (e.g., “Fortinet”, “Zero-Day”, “Microsoft Patch Tuesday”).• Optional ability to pin feeds per customer — e.g., show vendor-specific advisories relevant to that customer’s technology stack.• Provide a global “Security Insights” dashboard tab for all technicians to see at a glance.Benefits
