Secure Password Requests
It would be nice if we could create an asset entry in Hudu and then instead of sharing a password with the client, send them a password request. For example, if we are managing the company internet service on behalf of the company and need credentials to access that, we could send a request to the client and they could securely enter it into the form which would update the "Internet Service" asset credentials. This would prevent the credentials from being shared over non-encrypted email or over the phone. I would like this to be a different option than sharing passwords normally, because I don't want shared passwords to be able to be edited by the client unless enabled. It would be bad if they could change passwords that are shared with them without permission. Versioning for this would be important.

I think this would be fantastic, but would need to be very well branded and clear who was requesting said password

Leigh H.: I agree that a log should be documented of who is requesting the password from the user on the Hudu side and should display to the end-users that User from MSP Company is sending a secure password request. Although considering that Hudu is already well-branded with your logo and can be adjusted to be company colors and is a subdomain of your company domain-name, branding isn’t an issue. This should generate a link exactly like the secure password sharing does and you’ll use your personal email account or ticket system to send the password request, so it will be coming from you directly with an explanation from you on how passwords cannot be shared securely directly over email and should be entered into the secure password request form.
The link should expire after password entry.

This came up today in our MSP as a needed feature - we needed to collect a user's credentials so we could log in to an asset as them for diagnostics. We routinely rap users knuckles for emailing credentials and this would give them an acceptable method for sending us creds when needed (and only when prompted).

Please Hudu, this is a major omission in the software piece, we shouldn't need to use other software to request info securely from our clients… this is bread and butter work for MSP's and this would really add to the product :)

100% this! We have seen third party tools so send client passwords request but having this embedded in HUDU and have the password go directly into the asset would be awesome!
