In Autotask the physical equipment is normally called an "Installed Product". A name which can be changed to "Configuration Item" or, as it makes more sense to my mind for our clients an "asset". This means "Asset" in Hudu seems out of place and confusing. I'd love to be able to refer to these items as an "Entity" in Hudu which seems to be more suitable for this application.
