Pre-defined Template Information
It would be great to be able to pre-define template options that are frequently filled out with the same info.
For example, one of our local internet provider has 5 basic internet packages that I am typing in repeatedly for clients in this area. It would be great to be able to put this info in and then select it from a drop down menu and have it appear in the template layout for internet service as pre-configured text. It would be nice if I could edit this text if something varies also.
I'm basically wanting the ability to autocomplete all fields of an asset template based on pre-configured options.

So I just made this feature request /p/dropdown-with-add-other-option-in-the-custom-asset-layout. It seems like its the same thing you want? I only found yours after

Hmm… You can do this with dropdown on assets, but, I think it sounds like you want more than that and it's a nice idea…
I haven't used the gold standard button yet, but, maybe some sort of linking to that :/ e.g. define it once and link to that.
Or, sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, maybe it is just neater to have a new asset field type of "text with autocomplete"…

William H.: Yeah, I would like the ability to select a dropdown option and have it automatically fill options for other fields in the asset based on my selection. For example, the ability to enter the packages for my local Internet Service Provider, select one of them from the dropdown list, and have it fill the "Down Bandwidth" field, "Up Bandwidth" field, "Data Limit" field, and other fields with pre-configured options that very seldom change. This would save me a great deal of time, especially when documenting Internet Service for a business that has multiple locations but the same Internet Service Provider and same packages.
