Option to empty hide fields in Asset Layouts

We have created an Asset Layout that represents our entire Service Stack. The fields are checkboxes and all set to show in a table. Currently this shows a red cross when you're in the asset and a field heading with a blank field in table view. It would be ideal to have the option to hide the entire field (including the heading) both in the asset and table view if the checkbox was unchecked resulting in a list of Services / Items not supported (rather than a list of both support and unsupported items).
