Yes please. This would be a very welcome feature. I think it needs to configurable at a couple different levels.
Globaly. At the asset layout template level make it auto-add (or not) for all customers. You may not want all layouts added as some may be internal use only. Also for things like password list.
At customer level, enable or disable an asset list or password list to auto-add.
And also at the item level to be able rp add or remove like it is now.
But a definite need for this please.

This is huge, right now it forces admins to have to go in and update the portal anytime a new asset is created.

I'd like this to be for not just assets but passwords, people, etc. as well. An admin option to activate different types in the portal would be ideal.

Andre B.: YES! We accidently shared out an asset of "People" to an external portal, had to remove them one at a time from over 20 pages of asset objects. Should be able to remove asset layout all at once.
