Make Passwords and documents selectable in Assets

I can link to passwords and documents in ITG within an asset using a field.

It would be good to be able to do the same with Hudu.

Currently there appears to be no way to select a password or document using a field in Hudu.

    I’m a big fan of Hudu overall—it’s an excellent documentation platform for MSPs.

    One feature that I think would add a lot of value is the ability to create Asset Layout fields that link directly to a specific password.

    I know that Related Items already exist, but they aren’t always ideal for this use case. For example, when documenting a user account or service account, it would be great to have a dedicated field in the Asset Layout that references the exact password associated with that asset.

    The challenge with Related Items is that they can contain multiple passwords, making it unclear which one belongs to the asset. It would be much more intuitive if an Asset Layout could include a labeled field that links directly to the relevant password item.

    This would make documentation clearer, reduce ambiguity, and make it much faster to find the correct credentials.

    Correct, only way is a URL field currently. Desired features for sure.

    Trying to understand this request to see if it's something I should implement myself,

    You have related item in the right side, is this due it be coming clutter issue? Why not rich text type about common issue y and hyper link it to kb?

    Yes and while we are talking about searching for articles to tag…

    • Option to also search for any in parent/child company

    • Option to search including (or exclude) Global KB

    Currently you can only search by all companies or just this current one…

    This would be amazing! I would like the ability to attach both Global KB and company-specific KB to an asset or asset type. This could allow technicians to easily find the correct KB for an asset.
    Also, the ability to make KB's for an asset or asset type customer-facing on the customer portal would be another great feature, although this one should have a checkbox on whether or not it is shown to the client similar to the "add to portal" checkbox already on assets.
