+1 this 4 years later. Any amount of customization of the global dashboard would be great. As it stands it currently feels like a page you want to move away from at the earliest convenience with no way to add or customize the data there.
Being able to add magic dash's there would atleast put it into our court to customize…

This would be Rad! Although there are some built-in widgets…they are not really useful.
