License count

The ability to set the number of licenses on hand for an application and track the number in use.

Example:

  • We have 20 Power PDF licenses so I would put 20 in the license count.

  • Every user or device (selectable when setting up the license field for the software asset based on how the license is used) that I link that software to reduces the count of available licenses by one

  • The software asset would have two numbers in the license count field; total and available

    I can see a good use for this outside of your specific example too. If Hudu could give us an asset data type of 'Resource Limit'. Or for something similar to a checkout process. Then it auto counts as you requested linked into the asset field which would be a multi select input. Great for tracking where the counts are low in the 10 to maybe 45 range. But more than that, I could see it not scale well. Example, customer with 400 MS Office perpetual licenses. For that, I am using RMM reporting.
