KB: Possibility to make the end date required (or define a standard default value)

Our iso-certification requires that our documentation is up to date.

Is it possible to make the end date a required field when making a new KB article?

We now set an end date manually, but it would be greatly appreciated if a published article by default has an end date (that can be specified somewhere in settings).
