IP Address Asset Field Type

Yes, please add this!! Huge quality of life improvement.

I'd love a "network" asset field for IP's that automatically groups any devices in the same subnet etc, so when you click on the field it can list all devices in that network. SImilar to what IT Portal does.

This would be awesome, Netbox is fantastic but for most client networks its too involved and our techs simply don't want to try and understand it

Tiny quality of life improvement would be when using the IP address field, when you type the slash in a CIDR entry '192.168.0.1/24' it should automagically split the IP and CIDR. Currently it's a separate dropdown you need to tab to.

Yes please! From my perspective, all that's needed is a new field type of "IP Address" and it pulls from the networks and then provides a list of the IPs in the network that was selected. The list of IPs presented should show all IPs (including those already in use and show what it's assigned to).

For the love of god, how difficult would this be to implement… over 4 years my friends. Your built-in 'Network' feature is fancy, but useless to me. I need a rudimentary IPAM to designate subnets, and then segments of the subnet for specific categories. Nothing needs to integrate, but right now I am stuck with basic text fields which EVERYONE in the world knows are NEVER sortable unless there is intelligence.

Please stop ignoring blatantly obvious feature requests that an intern could implement in an afternoon. You need TWO teams… complex features, and low hanging fruit. Tackle this from both ends, and you can bet you are going to hear from me again.
