improved user rights and permissions

As once promised but still not happening (yet?)!

The current all or nothing rights for users are not granular enough. Same setup as ITglue and once told it would get an overhaul (2024) but up to now nothing has been implemented.

You could go crazy with wishes but let's start with something simple like restricting on asset lay-outs (better to add core also) if those entries may be read-only, edited / updated and to what extend.

The use case is here for everybody that use HUDU -> you don't want to have EVERYTHING for EVERYONE.

• Read-only custom asset 1, 2 and 3

• Edit rights on custom asset 4, 5 and 6

• Full rights on Central Knowledge base

• Read-only on customer Knowledge base

I cannot image people are not wanting this when you have several teams, multiple integrations, customs asset lay-outs filled by API (and are only changed by the source outside HUDU) etc. etc.

But now if any engineers needs to do stuff in HUDU they can do EVERYTHING in the instance….

• you could do this on asset lay-out / core level

• you could do this on group membership by extending the possibilities on the acces tab (now it's only shown or not)
