Sometimes info stored in one place like a default password in a Global KB or a device troubleshooting doc for a company is also relevant somewhere else.
Current options are to duplicate the entry (and thus increase the time spent maintaining the knowledge) or try to search multiple places (which is difficult if you don't know knowledge about a device may be under a different company).
Instead there could be a system like this:
Global KBs
-Default Password
Company A
-Company A password
-Supporting XY device
Company B
-Default Password (shortcut that actually opens the Global KB doc)
-Supporting XY device (shortcut that actually opens the Company A doc)
