As someone who managed to get a NFR license for homelabbing, I can attest they have this functionality. It would be greatly appreciated to be an "official" offering even with the following limitations:
No support
No commercial use
Limited to 2-5 users

Having a free community edition, similar to how Veeam does their backup software for free for personal use, is such a good way to penetrate the market. Get a lot of users comfortable using it at home, and they will become your sales people to bring it into organizations. There currently isn't an alternative for home use cases, so Hudu would be postured to really succeed.

Make it full featured. A limitation on user count and/or a requirement to selfhost would be acceptable. Veeam style NFR license will work too!
