Better Sorting, Filtering, and Searching
It would be super helpful if the search bar above the table in each Asset Layout could search and filter by Asset Fields that are drop down lists. For example, I have a Locations Asset Layout for a customer with many offices. Our other Asset Layouts have a field that references the Locations as a drop down list. I cannot search or filter by location.
It would also be nice if I could sort the table by the Asset Fields that are drop down lists.

Kristen W. Just wanted to enquire as to whether we know an ETA for delivery for this one yet? Got my teams asking about it on a fairly regular basis as our asset numbers grow it's becoming much more of a pain to filter and search. Cheers.

Mark M. the ability to filter assets by list select fields and plain text fields is in the next major release, which should be heading to beta soon.

This is a must. We have recently moved from IT Glue and have a few asset types that have many 100s of assets with various fields. We need the ability to be able to filter the table view effectively.

Kristen W. I just upgraded to 2.41.0 and it does NOT have the functionality that is being described above. Only certain fields are sortable; none are filterable; and the search at the top of the asset page does not search all fields within the table.

Michael H.: Hi Michael, the original request above is a bit older and refers to drop downs, which have been deprecated as a field type and replaced by list select. v2.41 includes the ability to filter by list select fields (and plain text fields). If you are not seeing these as options, you may need to check if the fields you had expected to be filterable are still using that legacy drop down field type. If so, we have a post on our community page with steps to convert them to the list select field type (link below). The fields also need to be visible in the table view in order to be filterable. If you are still not seeing the filters expected after checking those two things, please submit a support ticket so the team can help troubleshoot.
On the sorting front, it is true that you cannot current sort by every field type, however, the ability to sort by list select fields was released in v2.38.

To add to this, option to have a default sorting settings for networks, currently they are default descending while more logical it would be ascending. But having an option to set this everyone would be happy.
