Be able to select Core asset items for Asset Links field

Is it possible to have core assets be added to options for an Asset Link, for example passwords or networks. I know they can be added in the related items, but it would be nice to tag the item while entering all the other information for an asset.

    We did this all over the place in IT Glue. Coming to Hudu and not having that as an option is really surprising, and even more surprising to not have any traction on the request in over two years.

    Thank goodness I'm not the only person looking for this feature.

    I'm not entirely sure what the true vision is for the 'Network' asset - but as far as I can tell it is literally only place you can put real IP address data with sorting capabilities - however it seems like the vision from Hudu is this to be a poor man's read-only IPAM.

    Hudu, you must realize this is absolutely, unequivocally useless to us. I don't see the purpose behind tracking all device IP addresses such that they must be populated manually or from some other IPAM system - rendering the information in Hudu as untrustworthy and likely out-of-date or otherwise inaccurate. By all means, someone at Hudu please do prove me wrong… if you are even looking at these.

    I need a place to record network mapping. At this point I am just going to build it myself, but it is going to be an unsortable mess without me breaking-up the octets into their own fields or requiring all 3 digits for each even if they are zeros…

    FYI - I read the documentation, it is absolutely a read-only IPAM and I simply will not use the 'Network' core asset type and will look into disabling it entirely. There doesn't appear to be such a feature, so you'll see me in your support queue very soon.
