Hi Naftuli Herzog, this should be possible currently by navigating to an asset layout that you'd like to use as the "location" asset layout (Admin >> Asset Layouts >> Edit a specific asset layout >> "Use for Locations").
Does this accomplish what you're referring to?

The Hudu Team this does not work, the "networks" under Core do not seem to be able to be modified from the "Asset Layouts" only a custom asset layout seems to be able to handle this.
