I'm creating assets that are separate but used together.
It would be great if I can define a field in the main asset from a linked asset.
For example, I have a whole load of sim cards that have IP details, tariff information, contract info and more.
I then have a router with the usual fields.
I currently link the sim to the router.
I would love to be able to populate the router's IP from the IP field on the sim so I'm not doubling up data entry….
Technically, if I retire the router and get a new one, then move the sim to a new router - that router would get the same IP.
It would be great if there was some way to actually manage this process e.g. define a field on an asset as "Inherited from linked asset a", "Inherited from linked asset b" etc. Then when linking an asset, have the ability to define it as asset a, b … etc.
