+1 would pay Hudu if it compared to WarrantyMaster/ ScalePad (their newer pricing pushes down the value )

Until this is officially supported I added support to the PSWarranty module for Hudu https://mspp.io/hudu-warranty-expiration-tracking/

I would love to see this feature.

I use this to update my RMM (Datto). Hope it helps

We use custom code currently in our RMM to query Lenovo's system. I understand that Dell and HP also offer the ability to query their warranty system. I think that Hudu could definitely add this functionality and provide great benefit to many organizations!
For those of us that are able to query warranty information from our RMM and incorporate it there as custom fields, it would be nice to have a way for Hudu to pull that over when synchronizing as well...

David S.: Could you share how you do this via RMM w/Lenovo?

Would also agree this probably isn't something the documentation itself needs to do. This can be done on your own via warrantymaster, or via rmm directly (in syncro I pull warranty directly via powershell for dell, hp, lenovo). Would be cool is hudu could just grab the data from there.

Dave E.: Any chance you would be willing to share your powershell scripts for this?

+1 for Warrant Master integration, it looks up serial for all network devices AND workstations/servers so firewalls and switches are checked too! If you can build out the integration yourself without them and the reports they have that would be great also

Jacob and team, Dell offers an API for this, I believe HP does too. My RMM will pull the service tags and allow me to click directly to their sites to manually get this info, because the agent knows that it’s a Dell or HP; however I’m not sure how Hudu would know which mfg from the tag? Would you see this with a separate field type for each mfg? Or possibly a pull down with each mfg? There maybe many other mfg that users might want the same info for (Cisco, Lenovo). Getting the status of warranty would be great, plus setting up an expiration 30-45 days in advance to be able to sell the client extended coverage or new machines.

I believe this can also be done via express service code.

We will look into this!

The Hudu Team: A WarrantyMaster integration will do this and you don’t have to reinvent the wheel :)
If they are hard to integrate with, perhaps you can grab this info from RMM. WarrantyMaster has a way you can sync the info into a custom field on RMM assets. If you could snag this data via the RMM api, that would do it.

Michael S.: I think WarrantyMaster is way to expensive compared to the service it provides. If it could be integrated in Hudu I would be very happy!

Niklas H.: I don't think that these lookups should be the responsibility of the documentation system itself, especially if there are costs associated with using the API's of all of these different vendors to look this information up. WarrantyMaster does it well, and is a good value for what it does, especially at scale. It is built into the per-seat price that we charge our customers, and is very justifiable. It would be a neat feature for Hudu to have someday, although I think it would be much easier to handle it via integration with another provider.
That being said, if pricing were similar to what WarrantyMaster offers and it had the same features, I would much rather pay Hudu for this service than a Kaseya company.
What are your thoughts on this, The Hudu Team?
