This is definitely needed. Hudu cannot truly be your one stop shop for documentation if you have to use another system to host these other document types.

We desperately need the ability import word documents. SharePoint still seems to be a better collaboration tool for working on files, and while copying and pasting retains most of the formatting, there is no method for bulk uploads, making this a tedious and time consuming process.

My current work around is to store the document on sharepoint and just use an external link to the file in hudu.

Example; cuwtom asset folder called "client documents", each file is just a custom asset with name and rich text field. Link the sharepoint file in the rich text field with open in new window. Not ideal but better than nothing.

I agree, this is a very important feature that should be implemented. I have many .docx files that need to be transferred to Hudu. It's insanely time consuming having to either download / reupload files to edit them, or to copy/paste files and go through the manual process of reformatting them into something readable.

This is super important, and in fact I raised this today with support. Having to download > edit > re-upload a document is time-consuming. ITPortal and ITGlue both have this integration in place, and it makes it super simple to review and edit documents via the portal.
