We have noticed an increase in customers where layouts aren't applicable to them, and it would be nice to have the option to mark a layout per client as being not applicable.
Example:
You have a layout "Phone System" for tracking what phone system a client uses. If the client is just using personal cell phones, they wouldn't have a phone system. It would be nice to simply mark that for the client (say a checkbox with brief note field on the layout overview). Currently, some technicians just create a "phone system" of personal phones. This gives the impression the client has a phone system, instead of indicating the absence of a phone system. Leaving the layout unpopulated gives impression someone forgot to document the clients phone system instead of them not having one.
This not applicable attribute could be leveraged to remove that layout from the documentation score calculations for that client, and that layout could also be greyed out or moved into a not applicable group to keep the menu cleaner.
This can apply to a lot of different layouts for example firewalls, switches, access points, physical servers, office locations.
