I'd just urge them to have the default of all Hyperlinks open in new tab, seldom do I see a reason for it to open in the current tab.

Holy crapstick. 3+ years ago this request was made. Hudu/Jacob - THIS is exactly the kind of thing that makes usability better. And not just by a little bit. This alone adds at least 30% of the time it takes for me to create a proper KB article - i.e. manually going into each and every hyperlink and changing it to open in a 'new window'.

Fix it by: 1. Creating an option to open in a new tab, and 2. Allowing us to set a company-wide default for one of the options OR make 'open in new window' the default.

5 minute code change (including QA) to save your collective client base a huge amount of time. No brainer.

I absolutely agree, but I think this should extend to any link in any asset layout type and documentation - all of them should open in a new tab.

Preferably just make options to always open any links in a new tab... You're often moving through information trees which can be closed later, but losing where you were is pretty annoying.

I habitually open in a new tab, but others do not.

Clicking a link to open in a new tab will save a lot of back and forth.

Yes Please, when clicking a link in a KB we would like it to open in a tab.
