External Portal Asset Layouts

In Hudu, the internal asset layout and the external client portal are designed differently, which can result in discrepancies in how asset information is displayed. Internally, asset layouts can be customized to show multiple columns of data, providing a comprehensive view of each asset. However, the external portal, by default, displays assets in a more simplified manner, often showing only the name field.
To enhance the information visible to clients through the external portal, if you can could customize the portal and configure the specific data shared.
This customization should be done within each client space, allowing you to tailor the external portal to display additional asset details as needed.
By adjusting these settings, you can provide your clients with a more detailed view of their assets, aligning the external portal's display more closely with your internal asset layout.

List View for Asset Layouts in the External Portal

In the main application, asset layout fields can be configured to display as columns in the list view. This configuration is not reflected in the external portal, users must click into each asset individually to see any data.
The portal should honor the existing "show in list" column configuration so that shared asset layouts are actually scannable without opening every record.

Any update on this? Can this be considered?

Client Portal able to view table on Asset Layouts
Q
Quickest Perch
While working on letting users into our environment but ran into a problem with the table view on our asset layouts only being available to admins and not in the Client Portal.
Can we have the table on Asset Layouts be visible on the Client Portal as well?

Currently fields in asset layouts can be shown in lists. However, those fields are not shows in lists when viewed on the client portal. Please allow the fields that are shown in lists to also be shown on the client portal side.

Shared Portal (customer view) Assets

In the customer 'External Sharing' view of an asset, their asset list only shows the the Hudu primary 'name' field. We should be able to earmark other fields that we include in our lists to the customers' view as well. Not all the same, only specific ones that we wish to display. In some assets we actually use the Hudu primary field as a drop down of category, then subsequent fields are the actual descriptive name. Other assets especially ones pulled from integrations are a real mess and we can't even expose it to an end customer. Example attached.

Zero traction on this. Bummed.

Our customers are also unsatisfied with the portal. If we don't add the location to the asset name, it's an absolute mess.

The client portal needs a lot of TLC. My customers complain frequently acout the lack of functionality and navigation.

That would be great. The general customizing for the external portal would be very helpful.
