The big update I was hoping to see here was support for label orientation.

I find a standard letter-size return address label to be the perfect size for labeling most hardware. If something larger is needed, a standard address label works well. Unless I’m printing a large shipping label, virtually all of the labels I use are horizontal, so I don’t understand why Hudu’s QR code labels are designed vertically.

Ideally, the QR code would be positioned on the left with multiple lines of text on the right. This would make much better use of the long horizontal space available on common label sizes and allow more useful information to be printed alongside the QR code.

I hope this is reconsidered. I know this request has already been marked as complete, but I would argue that without horizontal orientation support, the original need has not really been addressed.

Yeah the current asset tag is unusable. I migrated to Hudu and was excited to have my sites assets built into one portal. As it stands, I can not print assets and use them at all. I'm having to buy older labels and scan them in manually. Screen snipping and manually making each asset one by one is not a fix, it's a waste of time.

Ideally I believe it should have these fields on every sticker:

Name of the device, eg: Admin PC 3

Hostname

Support phone number

Support email address

Would love to be able to select fields to be include in QR code.

Agreed. The ability to have a company logo, website address, phone number to contact for support (which may be different per client company if including after-hours support), and support ticket email address would be amazing!

Also, the ability to rearrange the layout of the items into a particular order or chose a shape that is not a portrait-oriented rectangle. For example, a 2-inch by 2-inch label in our label maker. Some of the devices we are labeling are small.

For assets it would be awesome if we could make QR code with a custom link with prefilled info. Example would be a user would scan the qr code on his laptop and he gets redirected to HaloPSA to create a ticket and automaticly links the asset.
