Archiving Photos

I would love to see the ability to archive photos in the photos section of Hudu. I am currently managing the photos section and unable to archive items and the only option is to delete, which is a feature also locked behind a manager role. I would like to see an "Archive" option for the "Editor" role for Photos. This would allow Editors to better manage the photos section just as they can archive articles and passwords.

Jordan, could you please help with looking at this, would be an easy yet very handy features so whenever we need to clean up old photos, these requests don't need to be hand balled to Hudu admins of the company?

Max S.: Hey Max, we know this is a big one and we do plan to add. We're getting photo folders finished now, then we will move on to other photo requests like this one.

Photo archiving would be a good feature.
It provides a history that otherwise deleting photos would erase.
Use case: You move a network device to a new location. Having a history of it's previous location might be useful for troubleshooting steps. Having an archive of photos to fall back on would be useful for documentation purposes. Ideally archived photos wouldn't show up with a global search (be default) so that only relevant and up to date information is retrieved.

Yes, Absolutely this is needed. Engineers need to be able to update photos after changes/upgrades etc. They must be at least able to Archive photos with the Editor role.

yes - this is pain point for us as well - this should have been standard. once you enable archiving it needs to work for EVERYTHING.
