We currently use the Racks menu to document patch panels, which works well due to the front/rear layout. A dedicated Patch Panel template with a few small adjustments would improve clarity and usability:
Rear: Add a list select field to select the destination room.
Front: Add a list select or flag field for cable color (e.g., switch or PBX), and a field for specifying the switch port (text or link).
Optional: Allow tagging to indicate VLANs or other labels.
This would make patch panel documentation more accurate and easier to manage.
